Matt Ford
Ace of Cakes is run by Matt Ford who has been making and designing innovative cakes for over 10 years. After completing a three-year catering course at South Cheshire College, Matt developed his skills as a Pastry Chef at Pecks Restaurant in Cheshire before going on to run ‘Rich Desserts’.
Whilst running Rich Desserts, Matt specialised in making desserts for discerning coffee shops and restaurants across Cheshire, including Tatton Hall, Wrenbury Hall and Alveston Hall. Following this success, Matt then decided to specialise in wedding and occasion cakes and set up Ace of Cakes.

Nikki Bennett
Matt’s assistant, Nikki Bennett, is an expert sugarcrafter. As a trained artist, specialising in animal and people portraits, Nikki has used her exceptional eye for detail by creating exquisite handcrafted sugar-paste models on wedding cakes for over seven years.
Nikki can create models, figures and beautiful sugar-paste flowers, either replicating a design that you have seen or creating a totally exclusive design based on your personal ideas. |
